PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

 

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for!  Dancing with The Staff is this Thursday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in the theater.  Come out and see your favorite teachers dance the night away with their student partners to see who will be the next dance champion of DRHS.  You’ll see Mr. Hearn doing his best tap steps, Mrs. Afuha’amango dancing cute, Ms. Ward boogieing on down, and just wait until you see Mr. Schreiner!!!  That’s just a few teachers you’ll be able to vote for.  Tickets are $8 per seat and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  Get there early for your place in line and don’t miss out on this exciting event!!  GO MUSTANGS!

 

FCA is selling blue long-sleeved t-shirts for $20 during lunch this week.  Each shirt can be customized with a name and number.  Look for the FCA table during lunch to buy your t-shirt.  (Thursday & Friday)

 

Attention Students: Valentine’s Day is coming up and Hispanic Club will be selling Valentine Grams at lunch these two weeks. You can reach us in front of the Career Center to buy one, and give someone a greeting for this day with a nice Valentine gram. Please provide the fifth period room number for delivery. Deliveries will be made on Wednesday, the 14^th at 5*. (Run from Friday, February 2 thru Tuesday February 13)

 

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

This quarter’s PBIS focus is a No Tardies Challenge.  Students with No Tardies between January 22^nd and March 9^th will be rewarded with a Popcorn Party with the Principal.  Please see the fliers in the hallway for more details.  (run through Feb 9)

 

Hey, have you written something? Are you an artist? Photographer? Song writer? Play write? The Literary Magazine needs your submissions! There is prize money of $75, $50, and $25 for winners in each category! Submit to any English teacher or Ms. Hellen in Room 116!

If you would like to have a chance to receive this seal on your diploma and transcript, sign up for the:

When:  Tuesday, February 27 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Cost:  $20.00 (to the bookkeeper. Please, tell her that this payment is for the AAPPL World Language Exam)

All boys interested in playing golf this spring there is a mandatory meeting at lunch on Thursday February 1^st in room 107.  If you have any questions please see Coach Magrum in room 107, Coach Guzman in room 119 or Coach Adkins in room M-7.  Thank you.

 

Attention Mustangs,

If you ride a bicycle to school, PLEASE remember to lock it up!  Keep a record at home of the make.  Model and serial number in case your bike goes missing.  REPORT your missing/ stolen bike to the Corral as soon as possible!  Cable and chain style bike locks can be quickly cut so consider investing in a U-locks or “U” bolt locks along with a chain or cable lock which are harder for thefts to defeat.  Thank you!
