PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

Do you know what you are doing and where you are going after high school?  Damonte Ranch will be offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test as a resource and career exploration tool to help guide you.  The ASVAB is free and tests you in everything from math and science down to mechanics and electronics to help you find out what areas your strengths and talents lie.  Once graded you will be given a breakdown of all your scores and an explanation of what they mean.  The test is offered to all sophomores through seniors and can be taken multiple times.  Come down to the career center and sign up.  The test will be given Thursday August 30th

Are you interested in being a paid math peer tutor outside of school hours?  Paid math peer tutors get paid at a rate of $10 per hour, and they must have an A in any course that they tutor for outside of school.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Ault in room 122 for more information.  (Run 8/24-8/31)

What is your favorite board game?  Do you enjoy playing cards?  Would you like a place at lunch to comfortably eat while playing a nice board or card game?  Are you open minded and want to meet new people?  Come join the BOARD AND CARD GAME CLUB Thursdays and Fridays at lunch in the FOODS room (117)  See Mrs. Thiede for any questions.

Would you like to earn $25, $50 or even $75?  All you have to do to submit to Damonte Ranch High School’s Literary magazine, Hoof Notes.  Instructions on how to submit are posted in your English class room.  You can submit short stories, poetry, music, plays, art, photography and more. Submissions can be anonymous.  If you have any questions please see Ms. Hellen in Room 116.
