up if you have a sweet tooth! The Freshman Student Council will be
holding a 4-day bake sale in the counselor's hallway during lunch on Tuesday,
March 18 to Friday, March 21. Be sure to
come down and grab a quick, delicious bite!

Amigo! Want a taco but hate the mess? NO MAS!
The
sophomore class is selling Walking Tacos all week in the counselor’s hallway at
lunch for $3. What’s a Walking Taco you
ask? You fill a Doritos bag with taco
fillings and eat it while walking. Make
sure to get yours at lunch this week.
Later this week our school's
one-act play is headed to State! Come
support our efforts and get a chance to see this highly theatrical adaptation
of John Steinbeck's "The Pearl," directed by Jessica Johnson, at 6:00
on Monday night in the theatre. The play is only about a half an hour,
and will be followed by other State-bound performances in acting and musical
theatre. Don't miss this showcase of PAC talent, all for only $5!
Congratulations to the Dance Team for the wins at Knott’s
Berry Farm in Southern California. Soloists-Brittney Teepe and Madi Morris, 4th
place-JV jazz, 2nd place-Varsity Jazz, 2nd place, Varsity
Hip hop, 1st place JV character and 1st place varsity
lyrical. Great job ladies!!!
Attention Dancers, dancers, dancers! The PAC Dance
program will be having auditions for the spring show on Wednesday, March 19
from 2:30-4 pm. There are many different kinds of dances being
choreographed for the spring show and dancers of ALL SKILL LEVELS are
wanted. Please come to the dance studio Wednesday after school and wear
comfortable clothing you can move around in. If you have any questions
please see Ms. Bauman. Come one come all!!!
Truckee
Meadows Community College Info Night will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at
6:30pm in the library. Learn what TMCC has to offer, what it costs, how
to apply, etc. Bring your questions. Parents welcome to attend
with you.

Class
elections are coming up fast! All class positions are available. Class representative positions are also
available. To apply please pick up an
election packet from the front office or from Ms. Lombardi in room 101. Officer packets are due on March 26th and
representative packets will be due on April 16th. Please turn your packet to Ms. Lombardi by
2:30 in room 101.
Please
help your feeder school, Brown Elementary, win the Dolan Automotive Group School
Upgrade money, which will help pay for a much needed mobile computer lab.
All you have to do is go on Facebook, find the Brown Elementary page and click
on the Dolan site to vote. You’re allowed one vote per day.
In
recent weeks, several computers in the library have been vandalized,
costing our school several hundred dollars in replacement and repair
costs. A reward is being offered for
credible information about this damage. Please
call Secret Witness at (775)329-6666 or www.secretwitness.com. Additional information may be reported to Ms.
Kelley in the Corral.
Jostens
will be here Wednesday, March 19th, during lunch
delivering graduation announcements and other graduation items. If you
have not ordered your cap and gown, announcements or class ring, stop by and
see Jostens.
U.S. Scholarship Program is now available for students to apply.
Deadline is May 29, 2014. Apply
online at www.usbank.com/scholarship.
Attention Seniors-The Rotary Club will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating
senior. This scholarship is only opened to Damonte and Manogue students. There is an additional opportunity to go on
and compete for a $2,500. Please stop the Career Center to pick up the
application. It is due by March 25th.
A Driver Education class will be
offered at Damonte Ranch High School during
spring break. This 30-hour class fulfills the classroom requirement for a
driver's license in Nevada if you are under 18. The cost is $94. Classes will
be Monday-Thursday, April 7-10, from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Please call 829-9010 to register.
