Want to travel the world without paying a dime? Come to International Club on
Monday September 21 to learn all about South Africa, and bring your
friends!
It’s your
last chance to buy a fanny pack! Be sure to buy a sweet fanny
pack in the counselor’s hallway during lunch! The sophomore class will be
selling them for just $10 today. But don’t worry! If you miss it we’ll also be
selling them at tonight’s homecoming game.

Literary
Club, we will not be meeting this Friday. We will resume again on September
25.

Copies will be on sale Friday through next week in the main hallway. Come
and support your fellow student writers by purchasing one for $5.00. The
following students were $100.00 first prize winners this year:

If you were in Ms. Servilican’s AP Language and Composition class last year,
please stop by and pick up your American Dream posters as soon as

Want to improve your
ACT/SAT scores?
TMCC will be holding an Ace the ACT/SAT Math class taking place Saturday Sept
26 from 9-3pm. Registration flyers are available in the office.
Attention
Damonte Ranch Students: The University of Southern Utah is throwing a FREE tailgate
here a Damonte on Friday from 5 – 7 pm. There will be food, games, and
give-aways. The event will be held by the entrance that is behind
the home stands. Everyone is invited! Please
bring your frisbees and footballs and don’t forget your face paint!
TMCC’s Community Education Drivers’
Education class, which costs $99, fulfills the
30 hour classroom requirement, will be held at DRHS October 26-29. Parents are responsible for the 50 hours
behind-the-wheel requirement. These classes fill quickly. If the class you
want is full, look for another that has space available.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure needs lots of helpers. The race is October 4

Speech
and Debate
is looking for “Speakers”- Speech and Debate meet every Thursday after school
from 2:40 – 4:00 pm in the Career Center. DRHS will be hosting the first
tournament of the debating season this September 18th & 19th
it is a wonderful opportunity to see what all the buzz is about. Please see

THERE IS A POSITION OPEN FOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT TO BE A JUDICIAL INTERN AT
THE WASHOE COUNTY COURTHOUSE. YOU WOULD WORK 2-3 HOURS, 2 OR 3 DAYS PER WEEK.
THIS IS AN UNPAID POSITION BUT YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT FAMILY LAW AND WORK AROUND
LAWYERS AND JUDGES. YOU WOULD WORK 2-3 HOURS, 2 OR 3 DAYS PER WEEK. THIS IS A
GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SAMPLE THIS TYPE OF CAREER! FOR CONTACT INFORMATION,

Ranch High School is looking to start a new chess club! All who are interested should join us every
Tuesday and Thursday during lunch is Mrs. Crowley's room: room 114. Come make some new friends and have fun

The PSAT test is Wednesday Oct 14th. The preliminary SAT is
the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. The cost is $15
for juniors. See the bookkeeper today! (Run it for
three days a week until Oct 2nd.)

Don’t be left out of the Senior Portrait Section of the Yearbook. The LAST DAY to take your senior portraits is
