Class of 2016,
who’s ready for a great senior year?! We have our first Senior class meeting
coming up on Wednesday, September 2nd in the theater, and we have some
important information to go over! We look forward to seeing you all there!
Class
of 2016, who’s ready for Senior Sunrise?
It will be held at the football stadium this Friday starting at 6
am. Dress warm and bring blankets, as
well as anything else that you’d like to do with your friends. Food will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there! Run August 31-September 2
Attention
sophomores!
There will be a class meeting tomorrow,
September 3rd, in the Theatre during lunch! We will be raffling off pizza at the end of
the meeting. We’ll see you there! Run September 2:
Boys that are not playing a fall sport,
there are open gym workouts from after school to 5:15, Monday-Thursday. Hope to
see you there!
Coffee Fundraiser!
Ms. Daker’s CLS class is once again selling
coffee, tea and hot Chocolate for $1.00. Stop by room 106 to order your coffee
before school or throughout the day.
Students
– If you purchased a Student Activity Fee but it is not showing on your ID card,
please take your receipt and your ID to Ms. Aikin in the Career Center to have
your ID re-printed. Please see the bookkeeper if you need a copy of your
receipt.
Hola, amigos! Hispanic Club invites all the students to its first
meeting. Hispanic Club is one of the most popular clubs of our
school. We will meet on Thursdays in
Room 232, and you can always bring your lunch with you! You will learn
what activities the club did last year and we will plan for this year.
Cinco de Mayo, Valentine's Day, Halloween for local kids, clean-ups, charity
for Christmas, a variety of fundraising events plus TRIPS to the Six Flags....
Would you like to participate? Come and bring your friends to Room 232 on
Thursday September 3, 2015. We are so excited to see you there!
Boys
soccer team plays McQueen on Wednesday. JV at 5:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm here at
Damonte. Come out and support the soccer team.

The art club will be meeting every Thursday after school, in
room 144, beginning Thursday, September 3rd.

please come to the Career Center to receive your “off campus” sticker. Remember if
you choose to stay on campus and use the library or Career Center you must sign
in and stay.

if you did not receive your “activities” icon on your ID I hope to be able to
reprint it prior to the first home game on September 3rd and 4th.
If not you’ll need to provide proof by way of a receipt that you paid the fee.

Speech
and Debate
is looking for “Speakers”- Speech and Debate meet every Thursday after school
from 2:40 – 4:00 pm in the Career Center. DRHS will be hosting the first
tournament of the debating season this September 18th & 19th
it is a wonderful opportunity to see what all the buzz is about. Please see Mrs.
Aikin or Mrs. Amini if you have any questions.
Seniors I now have the hard copy
application for the 2016 U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship.
There are two $5,000.00 scholarships
available along with an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. If you are
