Boys that are not playing a fall sport, there are open gym workouts from after school to 5:15, Monday-Thursday. Hope to see you there!

 

Coffee Fundraiser!

Ms. Daker’s CLS class is once again selling coffee, tea and hot Chocolate for $1.00. Stop by room 106 to order your coffee before school or throughout the day.

 

Students – If you purchased a Student Activity Fee but it is not showing on your ID card, please take your receipt and your ID to Ms. Aikin in the Career Center to have your ID re-printed.  Please see the bookkeeper if you need a copy of your receipt.

Hola, amigos!  Hispanic Club invites all the students to its first meeting.  Hispanic Club is one of the most popular clubs of our school.  We will meet on Thursdays in Room 232, and you can always bring your lunch with you!  You will learn what activities the club did last year and we will plan for this year.  Cinco de Mayo, Valentine's Day, Halloween for local kids, clean-ups, charity for Christmas, a variety of fundraising events plus TRIPS to the Six Flags.... Would you like to participate?  Come and bring your friends to Room 232 on Thursday September 3, 2015.  We are so excited to see you there!

 

Boys soccer team plays McQueen on Wednesday.  JV at 5:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm here at Damonte. Come out and support the soccer team.  Run through 9/2

Attention DRHS Mustangs if you did not receive your “activities” icon on your ID I hope to be able to reprint it prior to the first home game on September 3^rd and 4^th. If not you’ll need to provide proof by way of a receipt that you paid the fee.

Speech and Debate is looking for “Speakers”- Speech and Debate meet every Thursday after school from 2:40 – 4:00 pm in the Career Center. DRHS will be hosting the first tournament of the debating season this September 18^th & 19^th it is a wonderful opportunity to see what all the buzz is about. Please see Mrs. Aikin or Mrs. Amini if you have any questions.

 

Seniors I now have the hard copy application for the 2016 U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship.

There are two $5,000.00 scholarships available along with an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. If you are interested stop by the Career Center or checkout the website www.ussenateyouth.org.

Just make sure to mention Damonte or show your ID. The Career Center also flyers that you pick up. Our Alumni association raises money to support senior scholarships.

Seuss-Coming is here!  During the halftime show at the homecoming game on Friday September 18^th, there will be a float competition.  All sports teams and clubs are open to submitting a float.  There will be a flyer with more information in room 101.  We look forward to seeing what your club/sports team creates!  Please run announcement Wednesday August 26th through Friday August 28th.

The environmental club asks that you please recycle your glass, cardboard, white and pastel-colored paper, aluminum, and plastic containers in the blue recycling bins here at Damonte Ranch. There’s one located on each side of the second floor, one each by the ROTC hall and the end of the counselors’ hall, and one by the main entrance. We ask that you don’t use the recycling bins to dispose of plastic bags, wrappers, Styrofoam, food, or things with food on them. Also be aware of the fact that there should be a recycling box in every teacher’s room for their and your convenience, that you may use as well.  Thank you!  The Environmental Club meets every Wednesday at lunch in room 206.

 

Christian club will be meeting in the rifle range (room 131) on Wednesdays 11:05-11:40.  Bring your lunch.  Everyone is welcome!

The cheer team is having a bake sale in the Counselor's Hallway at lunch every day this week. Come out and support the team!

The environmental club asks that you please recycle your glass, cardboard, white and pastel-colored paper, aluminum, and plastic containers in the blue recycling bins here at Damonte Ranch.
