The Speech & Debate team competed at Carson High School this past weekend.  David Barrientos took 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking and Jenni Whitbeck took 5th.  Jenni Whitbeck also was the 3rd top senior Lincoln Douglas Debate speaker, with Conner Estes breaking into the top 10 at 9th place in Novice LD.  Maranda Templeton took 3rd in Novice Informational Speaking, and also 4th in Congress with Dalin Moore placing 5th in Congress.

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for!  Dancing With The Staff is here!!  Wednesday, January, 30 at 7 p.m. in the DRHS Theater.  Admission is $9 per seat and the doors will open at 6:30 p.m.  Be there early to get your seat to see Mr. Bell groove it out, Mr. Schreiner and his partner hip hop til they don’t stop and see the reining dance champion, Mr. Fournier defend his title.  You will also see several other teachers shake it on stage.  Your paid admission earns you a voting ticket to decide this year’s dance champ.  It is going to be an amazing night of fun and entertainment!

Do you enjoy math?  Do you like helping others?  The math department is looking for Math Peer Tutors for this semester.  We are looking for an Algebra 1 peer tutor for per 3, for Alg 2 Peer Tutors for period 3 and 4, for Geom peer tutors per 4, for any math course period 6, and for any math course for periods 7 and 8.  Please see your math teacher or Mrs. Ault in room 122 for more information.

 

Any boys interested in playing golf this year, there will be a meeting in Coach Adkins’ room, W250, on Friday January 25th at the beginning of lunch.  Coach Magrum and Coach Adkins will go over information for this season.

 

Attention Seniors!!  Senior sweatshirts will be pre-sold at lunch today.  The cost will be $40 for XXL and $35 for all other sizes.  Pre-order forms will be available in the office or at the pre-order table at lunch.  All proceeds made will help fund activities like Senior sunset!  The last day to pre-order a sweatshirt is January 25th.  For any questions or concerns, please contact Senior class president Samuel Kreins at Sjkreins@gmail.com.
