PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS A “B” DAY

Congratulations to all the IC classes that participated in the pumpkin decorating contest put on by the National Honor Society.  The pumpkins looked amazing and after a very competitive judging by the students at Damonte Ranch High School we are proud to announce that winning pumpkin came from Mrs. Chavez’s Sophomore Seminar class for their amazing Day of the Dead themed pumpkin.  The National Honor Society would like to thank all classes for participating and we proudly share that all money generated from the competition will be donated to help the victims of the Northern California Wildfires, the charity chosen by the winning class.

Don't miss the fall play, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow!  Performances run this week only, at 7:00 pm Wednesday through Saturday.  We also have a performance right after school on Friday at 3:00.  Tickets are $8 for Students and Staff, $10 for Adults.  See you there!

Damonte Ranch Cross Country made some history this past weekend as Aric Turner turned in his best performance of the season as he became the 4A Regional Champion and helped the Damonte Ranch boys squad secure its first-ever berth in the state cross country meet.  On the Ladies side and just as impressive, the girls squad produced its first Regional Championship in school history!  The State Championships will be held Saturday morning at Shadow Mt. Park at Reed HS, come out and support both teams as this is history in the making!

Strike, Spare, 300.  If you missed out on sign ups, please come see Mrs. Louton in 128 or Mr. Fournier in M6 to sign up ASAP!  Official practice is Monday, November 6!  Let’s Bowl!

If you haven't donated to the Salvation Army food drive, THERE IS STILL TIME!  The barrels will be picked up November 7th, so please bring in your non-perishable foods ASAP and help out someone less fortunate!  It feels good to help.

I know you all remember the Miracle Minute, and your generosity helped greatly.  Now we have another chance to help the less fortunate.  You might have noticed the green barrels around campus.  Those are for non-perishables and toys.  If you could gather your non-perishables and more to donate, the Salvation Army will make sure that it goes to those who don't have as easy access to it.  Thank you for the kindness in your hearts, Damonte.
