Have you been dreaming about prom since you were a freshman?  Well it’s time to Discover what prom is all about! Tickets will be sold at lunch for the rest of this week for $50 in the counselor's hallway.  See you on March 4th.  If you are bringing a guest from another school, your guest passes must already be turned in.  Follow your dreams and Discover Prom!  (Air February 27 – March 2)

 

Do you like the dances, assemblies and other events at school?  Want to be a part of the process?  Join the Student Council!  Class elections are right around the corner: don't miss your chance to be President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, or even a Representative. Pick up your application in room 101 or the office.  Packets are due Tuesday, March 7^th to room 101.  Email Student Body President Elect Megan Flynn at stuco_elections@damonteranchhs.com with any questions, she can also be found in room 130 during lunch and IC, for any questions you might have! Dodge, duck, dip, dive, dodge!  The annual dodgeball tournament is coming soon.  Teams can sign up from Wednesday March 1^st to Friday March 3^rd in the counseling hallway.  Please see Mrs. Woo or Mrs. Ault for more information.

 

 

Attention Seniors who have applied and been accepted to TMCC…Damonte is hosting the Accuplacer testing Thursday, March 2^nd starting at 2 pm.  Please make sure to stop by the Career Center to sign up.  Limited to 24 students this first testing.

 

Are you attending the Prom?  Ally’s Prom Closet is opening soon. This is an organization that helps students with dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. If you need help with prom, see your counselor for more details.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS who have been accepted to UNR…Please bring your acceptance letter to the Career Center on Wednesday March 1^st during lunch. Justin Bouldt, our UNR rep., will be providing Port of Subs sandwiches and tee shirts to those incoming UNR Freshmen. Also, there will be a representative from NevadaTeach to answers question about the STEM teaching program at UNR.

 

KIDS University at UNR is looking for high school volunteers to help us with camp this summer!  KIDS University is a 7-week summer camp for kids in 2^nd-8^th grade that is held on the UNR campus each summer.  We offer a variety of educational classes in the mornings followed by recreational activities in the afternoons.  Camp dates will be June 12-July 28, 2017.  Camp hours are 7:30am-5:30pm.  We ask that volunteers commit to at least 3 weeks during the summer.  Hours can be flexible.

Are you prepared for Damonte’s most anticipated event of the year?
Come out and support your senior boys as they partake in a male pageant.  This event will be showcasing a variety of talents as well as showing off their dance moves.  This spectacular event will take place on Friday, February 24th, 2017 in the theater, beginning at 7 pm till 9 pm.  The presold tickets are $7.00, and at the door sales will be $9.00.  Who will be Mr. Mustang 2017?  Come this Friday to find out!!  AIR FEB 21st-24th​

 

Juniors and Seniors!  There is one more week left to join us on our adventure to discover prom.  Tickets will be sold in the counselor's hallway at lunch February 21-March 3 for $45.  We do have a limited amount of tickets so be sure to get them soon!  Don’t forget to fill out a guest pass, if you want to bring somebody from a different high school or an underclassmen.  Guest passes can be found in the corral and must be turned in no later than February 26.  See you Saturday March 4th to start our adventure.  (Air February 24)

This Friday, show off your guitar hero skills right outside the student store for just one dollar.  You can play or just watch your friends.  Also if you buy a Damonte Ranch High School Hat, hoodie, or backpack at the student store you will get one free game.  Remember, all student store proceeds benefit scholarships.  Remember this Friday in front of the student store, See you at the student store!   (Run 2/21-2/24)
