PLEDGE & MOMENT OF SILENCE

TODAY IS AN “A” DAY

Welcome back Mustangs

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

This quarter’s PBIS focus is a No Tardies Challenge.  Students with No Tardies between January 22nd and March 9th will be rewarded with a Popcorn Party with the Principal.  Please see the fliers in the hallway for more details.

Dress Code

Please remember hats are not to be worn in the school building.  Dress code helps students prepare for the real world of work, and provides a means to teach students the importance of a respectable appearance that can positively impact a student’s self-respect and self-esteem.  The dress code policy can be found in the DRHS student planner as well as on the DRHS and WCSD websites.

Vaping
The Corral wants to remind students that smoking a vape device on campus or within sight of school is a violation and the progressive discipline plan applies.

DRHS Technology Policy

The Washoe County School District is proud to be a 21st Century district and promotes the responsible and thoughtful use of personal electronic devices to support student achievement.

Keep in mind that students may possess or use electronic devices on the DRHS campus provided that it is not a disruption to the education process or a disturbance of school.

Inside the classroom or instructional process, school buildings and during the school day, electronic devices shall be in the “off” position unless the devices are being used for instructional purposes.  Teachers and administrators reserve the right to confiscate a student’s electronic device if it is interfering with curriculum/instruction or student/staff confidentiality.

It is unlawful for a person to engage in any kind of surreptitious electronic surveillance on any public school property without the knowledge of the person being observed.

Electronic devices are prohibited in classrooms during assessments, semester exams or other testing situations.

Schools are not responsible for lost or stolen personal technology devices.
